PASSAGE currently has eight portable dynamic message signs to advise drivers of conditions where driver action is required. The signs are placed where drivers can see them in advance to take the proper action. Messages displayed on the signs are sent by the operators at the TMC directly to the sign in the field, and can be modified at any time to tailor the message to current field conditions.
